Hi, I'm Avianca Dueñas – an experienced educator passionate about helping students grow in confidence and thrive academically.

I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from UC Santa Cruz and a California teaching credential. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching second grade, where I’ve loved creating engaging, supportive learning environments tailored to young learners' unique needs.

My journey in education began earlier, tutoring college-level chemistry, statistics, and biology while studying at CSU Monterey Bay. That experience helped me develop a flexible teaching style and a deep understanding of how students learn at different stages.

Today, I offer personalized, in-home tutoring designed to meet your child right where they are. Whether we’re building foundational skills in reading and math or reinforcing science concepts, my goal is always the same: to help students feel confident, capable, and curious.
